Gold jewellery worth ‘thousands of pounds’ stolen from Winterbourne resident

POLICE are trying to trace two men who stole gold jewellery worth “thousands of pounds” from a home in Winterbourne.

Officers have asked anyone who saw anything suspicious in the Down Road area on the afternoon of September 21, or has dashcam footage, to contact them.

An Avon & Somerset police spokesperson said the two men carried out a distraction burglary between 3pm and 4.30pm, stealing gold rings and chains.

One was described as being 6ft tall and in his md-30s, with jet black hair that was slicked back.

The other was wearing a yellow high-vis jacket with a chequered cap pulled down over his eyes.

They arrived in a silver saloon car, which was parked in the road while they were in the house.

Anyone who thinks they may have information or video footage that could help the police should call 101 and quote the crime reference number 5223 230 674.
