FRAMPTON Cotterell Rugby Club has won the prestigious Gloucestershire Rugby Football Union team of the month award for January.
The award went to both the Fram 1st and 2nd teams, who each sat at the top of their respective leagues at the end of that month.
Both teams are still in a good position for promotion. The 1sts, led by Zak Smith, unfortunately lost the top spot in the Counties 1 Tribute Ale Western North division to National League side Cinderford’s 2nd team, but if Fram win the reverse home fixture at end of March they are back on track.
The 2nds, led by Dan Harris, still sit at top of Counties 4 Gloucestershire South ahead of a crucial home fixture with local rivals Chipping Sodbury’s 1st XV that was taking place on February 28, after the Voice went to print
