A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after his car crashed on the M32, killing a passenger.
Avon & Somerset police said a man in his 30s died at the scene of the accident, at the northbound exit slip road for junction 1 of the motorway at Hambrook.
He was a passenger in a grey Citroen C4 car which crashed at around 10.15am yesterday.
No other vehicles were involved.
A police spokesperson said the passenger was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident.
His family have been informed and being given support from a police family liaison officer.
Driver in police custody
The driver, who is also in his 30s, suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital.
Police say he was later arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and causing death by drink-driving.
He was custody today, after being discharged from hospital.
Officers investigating the incident have appealed to any witnesses or drivers with dashcam footage who have not yet been in touch with them to call 101 or contact the police online, quoting the incident reference number 5224 263 220.
